Wigan man was three times over drink drive limit

A motorist has been banned from the road after a police breath test showed him to be three times the alcohol limit.
Ramunas Gintauskas, 41, of Manchester Road, Ince, appeared before Wigan and Leigh magistrates to admit to drink-driving and being at the wheel of a Vauxhall Golf when he was not insured to be so.

Hide AdThe bench heard he was stopped by a patrol on Crompton Street on April 26 and, when breathalysed, was shown to have 113 microgrammes in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The Lithuanian national was disqualified from having a licence for three years and he was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work with the next 12 months. Justices also hit him with a fine and victim services charge and prosecution costs totalling £280.
