Wigan pair accused of involvement in cocaine peddling

Two people accused of being involved in the supply of drugs will have their case heard at the crown court.

Rachel Taylor, 30, of Severn Drive, Norley, pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, a class A drug, between January 1, 2016 and June 9, 2018.

And 30-year-old Scott Penman, of Macauley Place, Goose Green, faces the same charge, along with an additional one of possessing cannabis, a class B drug, on June 8, 2016.

He did not enter pleas when the pair appeared in the dock at the Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court hearing.

The bench decided to send both defendants’ case to Bolton Crown Court, where a hearing will be held on April 1.

They were both remanded on unconditional bail until then.
