Wigan pervert admits to having thousands of revolting child abuse images

Sean Sumner, 29, of Battersby Street, Ince, appeared before Wigan and Leigh magistrates to plead guilty to 10 charges which include making hundreds images of child abuse falling into the severest category of acts - A.

In total the court was told that he was found in possession of around 3.500 images, more than 1,400 were of the gravest kind.

He is also admitted to possessing a prohibited image of a child and a separate charge of possessing two images of “grossly offensive” acts of intercourse with animals.

And another of trying to entice a boy of 12 into sexual activity.

The offences took place between September 2017 and April 2018. Magistrates directed that he be sent to Bolton Crown Court where a judge will sentence him on September 2.

He was released on unconditional bail until that date.
