Wigan teenager accused of having bullets

A 16-year-old Wigan schoolboy has been accused of possessing deadly pistol ammunition.

The teen was due to appear before Wigan and Leigh magistrates this month charged with having two 9mm Luger calibre cartridges in Wigan on November 21 last year. But the court could not deal with the case due to the coronavirus pandemic and it was delayed until September. The charge constitutes a breach of the 1968 Firearms Act.
