Joanne Baker, 33, of First Avenue, Springfield, appeared before Wigan justices to admit having 117 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when the limit is just 35.

She also pleaded guilty to being at the wheel of a Suzuki Celerio in Gidlow Lane at the time on March 5 when uninsured.

Baker was told she could reduce the disqualification period to 24 weeks if she went on a state-sanctioned course for drink-drivers.
