A young man who was spotted in the street wielding a machete will be sentenced next month.

Nathan Fairhurst, 21, of Thomas Street in Hindley, appeared in the dock at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to plead guilty to having the bladed weapon in Westwell Street in Leigh on Thursday March 31 this year.
The charge was brought under the 1988 Criminal Justice Act.
Sentencing will take place on June 9 before which time Fairhurst has been released on unconditional bail.
