A musical evil genius from Wigan has failed in his quest to reach the final of Britain's Got Talent.

A singing version of Doctor Who’s nemesis Davros became the first act to be buzzed out by all four judges in this week’s live semi-finals.

Davros, better known as Paul Dolman, remained defiant, urging viewers to vote for the Deep Space Deviants act.

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t to be.

Performing a bizarre medley of Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, Bamboleo by the Gipsy Kings and Don’t You Want Me by the Human League, Paul was cut short as all of the judging panel pressed their red crosses.

Simon Cowell said: “That was beyond bad. It was the singing, or not singing. The choice of songs, the absolute awfulness. At least I said no first time round (in the auditions), whereas these three (pointing to the fact that Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams had voted to get the Deep Space Deviants into the semi-finals).”

Paul/Davros responded: “Yeah, it’s your fault.”

David added: “We’ve had some rubbish on this show over the years and that beats of all of them. It was fun for a few seconds.”
