Wolfe, 19, was cleared after a trial earlier this month of three sex offences involving two young women and a man.

His case was adjourned for the prosecution to decide what further action to take on the six charges on which the jury had been unable to agree. Liverpool Crown Court heard that the CPS had decided Wolfe, formerly of Sidney Street, Platt Bridge, should face a retrial on two sex allegations involving a young woman on May 8, 2015.

They decided not to proceed to a re-trial on charges of raping one of the women he was cleared of sexually assaulting, sexually assaulting the other woman and two other sexual assaults on the man.

Wolfe, of Schuster Road, Rusholme, was formally found not guilty of those four offences.

He has been further remanded on bail to await his re-trial beginning on July 24.
