Hamster Will predicts NI men success

A hamster named after Wigan Athletic and Northern Irish footballer Will Grigg, who correctly guessed a first group game loss against Poland, has predicted a win for his national team in their remaining two group games at the Euros.

Staff at the Pets at Home Stockport store placed three hamsters in balls ahead of the tournament and noticed they couldn’t get enough of the sporty activity. So impressed with the tricks, they renamed the hamsters after three footballing stars, including Latics hero Grigg.

After a successful prediction, Will the hamster has set about forecasting Northern Ireland’s remaining two group games and has predicted two wins: against Ukraine and world champions Germany (!) on June 16 and 21 respectively.

Pets at Home’s Scott Jefferson said: “Will Grigg the hamster certainly is on fire after correctly forecasting the Poland result. We got him to show off his psychic skills again and it looks good for Northern Ireland. The two wins would take them to the knock-out stages and we are all hoping hamster Will is right once again.”
