Heavy police presence near canal in Wigan

Several police vehicles and an ambulance have been spotted in the car park off Scot Lane at Beech Hill.

An eyewitness said they saw officers and paramedics at the canal tow path behind Farm Foods.

There had been reports a body was found but Greater Manchester Police said this was not the case.
