Keith Rendell, described by a judge as “a career criminal”, was put behind bars for two years after threatening paramedics after they arrived to help a sick man.

Liverpool Crown Court heard Rendell, of Ambleside, Ince, was in breach of a 20-month suspended sentence for burglary at the time of the latest offence.

The 33-year-old denied affray but pleaded guilty to a lesser offence of threatening behaviour.

He was handed a four month sentence and the judge activated the suspended sentence.

Paul Wadsley

Keith Forster was jailed for 10 years with an extended licence of a year, by a judge who said that his offences involved “a grotesque” abuse of trust.

The 41-year-old of Hope Street, Leigh, abused and filmed indecent images of a sleeping girl, also shared a staggering 84,000 indecent images of children with others, a court heard.

He admitted seven offences of sexually abusing the girl between the ages of five and eight, one of distributing indecent images and two of taking indecent images.

He was ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was made for the same period.

Paul Wadsley was jailed for three years after viciously attacking his ex-partner.

The 47-year-old of Frog Lane, Wigan, pleaded guilty to inflicting GBH and criminal damage. His ex was cut, bitten and had her elbow broken in the attack, a court heard.

Wadsley has previous convictions including assaulting his then-wife and one of his sons.

Jailing him for three years Judge Brian Cummings, QC, said: “You have yet again assaulted someone in the context of domestic relationship. It is a very serious matter.”

He made a five-year restraining order banning him from contacting his latest victim.

David Allen has been jailed for 16 years for raping and sexually assaulting a young girl.

The 50-year-old, of Derby House, Scholes, denied the allegations involving the girl, spanning seven years, but was convicted after a trial.

He also denied sexually assaulting a woman in November last year while on bail for abusing the young girl and was also convicted of that offence

Judge Elizabeth Nicholls said that he had robbed his young victim - who she described as very “dignified” while giving evidence - of her childhood and innocence.

Liverpool Crown Court heard that Allen, who has no similar previous convictions, still maintains his innocence.

Paul Wadsley

He was convicted of one offence against the woman victim and 22 against the child, involving rape, sexual assaults and inciting her to engage in sexual activity.
