M61 break down warning
Motorists are being warned of a traffic jam on the M61.
A broken down vehicle has caused a “full block” on the motorway southbound at junction 5 - Wigan, Bolton, Westhoughton - say North West Motorway Police.
The incident is between the slip roads and traffic can exit and rejoin the other side.
It happened shortly before 1.45pm.
