Man had knuckleduster and knife by school
David Wallace, 33, of Meyler Avenue, Layton, pleaded guilty to possessing a knuckleduster as an offensive weapon, having cannabis and failing to answer bail and attend court. He was bailed for pre-sentence reports by Blackpool magistrates.
Prosecutor. Pam Smith, said Wallace phoned police, said he was opposite a school, carrying a knuckleduster and knife and that he wanted to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act on September 19 at 7.30am.
Officers went to the scene where Wallace had a knuckleduster clutched in his hand.
He said he had thrown the knife away.
Defence lawyer, Peter Manning, asked for pre-sentence reports on his client.
