Man in court on weapon charge
A man has appeared in court charged with possessing an offensive weapon.
Wigan Magistrates Court heard how James Stephen, of Omskirk Road, Pemberton, was arrested after police were called to reports of a mass brawl in Worsley Mesnes on Sunday.
After his arrest, his house was searched and CCTV footage of him leaving the property with a baseball bat was found.
The 21-year-old denied the charge and will face trial at the court on September 9.
