Man rescued from industrial bin


Fire fighters staged a rescue mission to save the man who had fallen into a 15 foot hopper at Massey Feeds, Mill Lane, Walton-le-Dale.
The incident at the agricultural feed and farm service supplier happened at 5.37am this morning and crews from Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Preston managed to free the man after a two hour rescue mission.

Hide AdFire fighters used a harness to get the man out of the grain filled hopper and he is believed to have sustain a foot injury.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “Fire crews from Bamber Bridge and Preston along with the rope rescue team rescued a male casualty who had fallen into a 15ft hopper bin.
“The casualty was then treated by paramedics at the scene.”
