Miliband, Farage and Clegg resign party leadership


Mr Miliband, who has represented the Doncaster North constituency since 2005, got 20,708 votes, increasing his majority by 871.
But his party suffered heavy losses at the hands of the SNP, with the Conservatives forecast to achieve a Commons majority.

Hide AdHe said: “The fight goes on and whoever is our new leader, I know Labour will keep making the case for a country that works for the working people once again.
“To my party I say thank you to you, thank you for the privilege. It has been an honour to be leader. We’ve come back before and this party will come back again.”
Leigh’s Andy Burnham has been tipped to take his place.
