A mystery Lotto winner in Wigan can still claim a massive £1m jackpot but the clock is ticking.

The lucky person who scooped the seven-figure sum in the draw on February 28 has still not come forward to get their prize, and there is now just a month left for them to do so.

The Lotto Millionaire Raffle ticket, which has the code PLUM 1592 1867, was bought in Wigan.

The search for the winner, though, will only last until August 27.

Everyone who has played a Lotto line for that date will have had a Millionaire Raffle code printed on their ticket.

With the countdown on The National Lottery is urging players to check and double-check their tickets to find out if they are the one who has a life-altering sum of money awaiting them.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Time is fast running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

"We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding. This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the deadline the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

In the Wigan area alone over 1,100 individual National Lottery grants have been awarded to help projects across the arts, sports, heritage, health, education, environment, charity and voluntary sectors.

Players can contact The National Lottery about the prize by emailing [email protected], ringing 0333 234 4433 or visiting www.national-lottery.co.uk
