WITH it having just been Men’s Health Week it only seems right that I encourage my fellow males to get out into the open or down to an Xercise4Less and get active.

It’s a known fact that men find it more difficult than women to stick to a healthy lifestyle, so my aim is to help you guys prove those women wrong and show em’ that we can do this! Exercise isn’t for everyone but having fun is … what I’m getting at here is that exercise doesn’t necessarily mean running on the treadmill for half an hour or lifting ridiculous weights to impress people. Exercising could be anything from walking the dog to playing football or rugby with your friends.

This week why not try something a little different? If you enjoy going to the gym but usually stick to the free weights, why not push the boat out and take part in a class? You might surprise yourself and actually enjoy it … imagine that!

You could also try swapping the “butties” for a healthier option like a chicken salad and ditching the beer on an evening for a glass of water!

Small changes are sometimes all it takes to encourage you to live a healthier, happier life!
