Pair hospitalised after early morning robbery

Two people were taken to hospital following a robbery at a Wigan address in the early hours of the morning.

At around 4.10am on Thursday, police were called to reports of a robbery on Sturton Avenue in Marus Bridge.

A 41-year-old woman and 56-year-old man were taken to hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

Later a 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and remains in police custody for questioning.
