Wigan couple who met at the old Heinz factory celebrate 60 years together

John and Jackie Barlow marked the diamond anniversary with a family meal and a telegram from the Queen.

The great-grandparents, from Mayfield Road, Orrell, met when they both worked at the old Heinz factory in Standish and went on to marry at Mount Zion Church in Pemberton.

Former environmental health inspector John, 85, and one-time lollipop lady Jackie also enjoyed an afternoon tea courtesy of their children.
