Power cut hits more than 100 Wigan homes

Homes and businesses in Wigan have lost power after an "unexpected incident" involving high voltage cables.

Electricity North West (ENW) said the problem, which was first reported at 8.49am today, August 12, was caused by "an unexpected incident on our high voltage cables."

Around 124 homes have been affected, mostly around Worsley Mesnes and Poolstock, but the issue is expected to be resolved by 10am.
