Wigan neighbours strike lucky with People's Postcode Lottery win
Four people in Wigan are celebrating after each winning £1,000 thanks to their lucky postcode.
The neighbours in Northways, Standish, netted the windfall when WN6 0JE was announced as a Daily Prize winner with the People’s Postcode Lottery today (February 4).
Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “A big congratulations to all of today’s winners! I hope it brightens up your day and you enjoy the winnings!”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of the lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted on behalf of the Postcode Global Trust which has a mission to support charities that save lives and improve health care systems.
A number of good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and charities can apply for funding next year.
