Wigan welcomes its new Mayor
The annual Mayor Making ceremony has taken place at Wigan Town Hall, with councillors welcoming the borough’s new first citizen Coun Marie Morgan and her consort Clive Morgan.She takes over from Coun Yvonne Klieve, one of whose final acts as Mayor was to help raise the Union flag in Believe Square, signalling the official start of Wigan’s celebrations for Her Majesty The Queen’s platinum jubilee.
