Woman taken to hospital after plunging 20 feet in Wigan woodland
The emergency services were called to the popular beauty spot at around 12.30pm on Saturday.
They found the 76-year-old woman had fallen several metres in an area of the woodland.

Hide AdThey managed to rescue her from her position so the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) could treat her.
She was taken to Salford Royal Hospital with multiple injuries, including to her back and shoulder.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just after 12:30pm on Saturday August 1, two fire engines from Hindley and Wigan fire stations, and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton-under-Lyne, were called to the rescue of a person near Danes Avenue in Hindley.
“The incident involved a 76-year-old woman who had fallen around 20 feet in an area of Borsdane Wood. The woman was helped to ground level by firefighters and mountain rescue crews, and was conveyed to hospital by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service.
"Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour and a half.”
