Police confirm 'no suspicious circumstances' after Wigan man's death

Police were called to Vulcan Road in Marsh Green shortly after 10am today, Friday February 26.

Residents reported seeing a large emergency services presence in the area, which had sparked concern among some neighbours. The force said a man in his 50s was, sadly, found dead inside a property, but that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Shortly after 10am on Friday 26 February 2021, police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in a property on Vulcan Road, Marsh Green.

"Officers attended and sadly found the body of a man in his 50s.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be passed to the coroner."
