Police hunt violent muggers

Investigating officer DS Stephen Kite said: “At around 11.10am on Saturday, February 21, the victim was approached and stopped by a group of men at the entrance to Atherton station.

“They dragged him to the ground and hit him in the head before stealing his phone, headphones and train tickets.”

Officers are urging the men in the images or anyone who recognises them to come forward immediately to help assist their enquiries.

DS Kite added: “It is vital that the men responsible for this violent attack are apprehended – violence like this will not be tolerated.”
