Houses could be built on borough farmland
Proposals submitted for semi-detached and three detached homes on land at Sandy Lane Farm, Hindley
Nine houses could be built at a borough farm after plans were lodged.
The proposals would see six semi-detached and three detached homes built on land at Sandy Lane Farm, Hindley.
An application has been submitted by Provincial Property Holiday Ltd for the development on the farm.
Under the bid, an existing home on the site would be demolished and the plot then used to build the three-bedroom properties.
Each property will include a single car parking space and the site will be accessible from Sandy Lane.
A planning document submitted as part of the application reads: “The site is not of any notable historic value.
“The current house on the site is of no value and has been partially demolished.
“A demolition notice approval has been received.”
It added: “The proposed homes are market appropriate for the surrounding area and have been designed to meet the local housing demands.”
