Administrators have called a press conference late this morning, days before their self-imposed deadline for finding a new buyer.

It is understood they have accepted an offer of around £1.6m from Preston North End for the Euxton site.

Latics still have their facility at Christopher Park, which is currently used by younger players.

Their first team also trained at Christopher Park until the club bought Euxton from Bolton Wanderers, for around £2.2m, four years ago.

Administrators in charge of Latics have been selling their biggest assets - until now, the players - to keep the club running and to reduce their debt.

As previously stated, Warriors chairman Ian Lenagan has made a bid for the DW Stadium.
