Regional A&E delays behind local stats
THREE in four people in the North West believe that A&E delays are costing lives.
According to a recent poll, only 27 per cent of people questioned felt assured lives were not at stake. The findings come after recent reports that delays facing A&E patients have plunged to their worst levels in a decade.
Only 91.8 per cent of patients were seen in four hours between January and March, while the NHS was reported to have failed to hit the 95 per cent target for the 26th week in a row.
