Services and parades took place across Wigan borough today (Sunday November 8) to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
The Mayor of Wigan Borough and councillors joined with local residents and communities across the country in a two-minute silence to remember those involved in the two world wars and later conflicts.
The procession left the Town Hall from Millgate at 10.20am prompt and proceeded along Millgate, Rodney Street, Library Street, Wallgate, King Street West and Crawford Street to the War Memorial in All Saints' Gardens.
The service at the cenotaph was conducted, during which wreaths were laid by the various organisations.
