Teen accused of stealing wrapped Christmas presents

A teenager accused of stealing wrapped Christmas presents from two houses in the borough has been sent to the crown court.

Jordan Youds, of Poplar Close in Tyldesley, appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court in connection with two burglaries and a theft incident in Atherton.

The 18-year-old is accused of stealing festive gifts from an address on Hampson Street on December 22 and taking wrapped presents, jewellery and 24 cans of Coca Cola from Breeze Hill Road on December 16.

He is additionally suspected of stealing a remote key fob for a car in an incident which also happened on December 16 last year.

Youds, who entered no pleas, was represented in court by Ged Fraser.

He will now appear at Bolton Crown Court on April 19 and was released on unconditional bail.
