Three fire engines called out to kitchen fire in Appley Bridge
Three fire engines were called out to a flat fire in Appley Bridge this afternoon.

Firefighters said one casualty was treated in an ambulance at the scene, on Stoneygate Lane, off Appley Lane North, after the fire broke out just after 2.30pm today.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One fire engine from Skelmersdale and two from Greater Manchester attended a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat on Stoneygate Lane in Appley Bridge.

Hide Ad"Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
"One casualty was treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation."
