Roadworks can be very frustrating for drivers, so it helps to plan ahead and know which areas to avoid.
There are currently 17 upcoming closures in and around Wigan listed on the Public Notice Portal.
Work is due to take place on a number of streets around the borough for manhole repairs, new water and electric connections, and to install frames and covers.

Grovewood Drive in Appley Bridge will close from September 21 to 25 for a new water connection. Drivers should instead use Woodnook Road, Miles Lane and Park Hey Drive | Google Street View
