Motorway slip road in Wigan closed after serious collision
A man was taken to hospital following the incident at junction 5 of the M58.
The eastbound slip road of the junction for Up Holland was shut for around two hours on Tuesday afternoon.
Highways England described the incident as "a serious collision" on Twitter.

Hide AdAnd the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), which was called to the scene at 1.37pm, confirmed a man in his early 20s was taken to Wigan Infirmary with a suspected arm injury.


The Lancashire Road Police also attended the crash.
Highways England said on social media that the slip road re-opened to traffic shortly before 4pm.
