Viral video shows dangerous pallets fall off lorry and hit pedestrian in Wigan after nearly decapitating a cyclist

A video showing a truck carrying wooden pallets has gone viral, as items from the vehicle narrowly miss a cyclist's head and then hit a pedestrian.

The footage came from a vehicle following the truck as it makes its way through Wigan.

It shows wooden pallets coming loose and moving into a precarious position on the back of the truck.

As the vehicle continues on its journey, the pallets narrowly miss a cyclist and then fall off and hit a pedestrian.

The cyclist is narrowly missed by the falling pallets

The identity of the pedestrian - and the extent of any injuries - is not known.
