Leigh-based science teacher, Addison Brown, who featured in a national Get Into Teaching TV advert which aired on TV back in January, gives us a day-by-day glimpse of what life as a teacher has been like so far during these unusual times.

Today, in his third clip, Bedford High School secondary school teacher Addison thanks colleagues and teachers across the country for the work they've done before and during the lockdown.

Addison also talks about how teaching is a "very tough but a very rewarding job".

The 27-year-old, who recently became a father for the first time, has released five clips discussing what is on his mind that particular weekday.

His child, along with his partner, also feature in the diary entries.

The videos mark Thank A Teacher Day, which was on Wednesday (May 20) - the national campaign aimed at encouraging people across the country to consider teaching as a career.
