Rugby tickets offer for Wigan runners

Run Wigan Festival participants looking forward to a medal and pie when they cross the finish line can now enjoy an extra reward.

For organisers at charity Joining Jack have teamed up with Wigan Warriors to offer free entry to the match against Catalans Dragons on the same day.

It kicks off at 3pm on Sunday March 22 at the DW Stadium and runners can claim a free ticket by taking their medal to the box office.

Up to four family members can also get half-price entry to the match.

The fourth annual Run Wigan Festival will see thousands of people take to the streets to run either a half marathon, 10-miler, 5k or family mile.

It will be followed by live music in the town centre, ahead of the rugby match.
