Wigan bar and restaurant closed until further notice after Covid-19 case

The Old Band House in Ashton had only reopened last month after being closed for three months during lockdown but already it has had to close again.
It confirmed the news on its Facebook page yesterday evening (August 13) and said it has been shut as a precautionary measure.

Hide AdThe post reads: "It is with a heavy heart that we have to report a positive COVID-19 case, which we have been notified of this evening.
"Unfortunately, we have made the decision to close until further notice as a precautionary measure.
"Although this is heartbreaking for us having recently reopened after the pandemic, the safety of both our staff and customers still remains our top priority."
The post assured customers there was nothing to worry about and said that although no other staff members have symptoms, they have advised them to be tested.

Hide AdPrior to the business reopening, it said a lot of time and effort was spent adapting it and putting all the necessary measures into pace to protect both staff and customers.
The post reads: "We would like to make it clear that this is nothing to worry about from a customer perspective. Our team however, work closely with one another and although no other staff members have symptoms, we have advised our staff to be tested.
"As a business we have put all necessary measures into place to protect both our staff & customers.
"Prior to our reopening, a lot of time and effort was spent adapting our business, we wanted to ensure that customers entered with confidence and felt safe.

It adds: "We would like to send our apologises to anyone who was booked in with us this weekend, especially to those who were planning to celebrate a special occasion.
