This was the scene after a car careered out of control and ploughed into the front of a Wigan house during the morning rush hour.
The silver Renault Clio smashed into the door frame of the property in Church Lane, Shevington, shortly before 8.30am on Monday. It is believed the occupants were at home at the time but escaped unscathed.
The driver, believed to be a young man, suffered rib injuries and an ambulance was called.
Firefighters also attended to assess the damage to the house - which used to be the village post office 20 years ago and more - which now has a big crack going up the wall.
