The day also featured a host of local music talent, a children’s entertainer, pop-up bouncy castle world, food and drink.

Mr Aindow said: "Sunshine Sunday was conceived to keep the momentum of Saturday’s Parbold Show going for the whole weekend.

"This time we brought in a football tournament, both in tribute to Louis and also because we were keen to bring football back to Parbold because the playing fields seem to have been much under-used in recent years.

"It was great to see so many people playing and enjoying themselves and I am sure that this can go from strength to strength and the whole weekend become one big community fixture."

Former Liverpool FC star Jamie Carragher, a friend of Louis’s family, had been due to pop into the show but was unable to make it in the end but he did drop in on their home instead.
