Dream Big Day saw a Wigan school filled with doctors, firefighters, teachers, police officers, engineers, sports stars and more.
Everyone at St John’s CE Primary School in Abram embraced the occasion, with children arriving dressed as the careers they hope to pursue in the future and eager to share their dreams and aspirations.
Pupils took part in a variety of engaging activities that encouraged them to think about their future goals, explore career opportunities and develop important life skills.
Activities were designed to promote creativity, teamwork, communication and problem solving, while helping children understand that everyone has unique talents and interests that can lead to a wide range of exciting opportunities.
Dream Big Day also gave pupils the chance to talk about why they had chosen their future career and what they might need to do to achieve their ambitions.
By encouraging children to think about their goals from an early age, the day aimed to build confidence, raise aspirations and reinforce the importance of perseverance, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.
The event was enjoyed by pupils across every year group, with classrooms transformed into hubs of imagination, creativity and ambition.
Staff also joined in the celebrations, helping to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where children were encouraged to dream big and believe in themselves.
Headteacher Mrs Bear said: "Dream Big Day is one of those special occasions that really captures our children's imagination. Seeing pupils proudly dressed as the careers they aspire to and talking so confidently about their ambitions was wonderful. The activities throughout the day encouraged them to think about the skills they already have and the opportunities that lie ahead.
“We want every child to know that, whatever their aspirations may be, with determination, hard work and the right support, they can achieve great things."
Dream Big Day forms part of St John's commitment to helping pupils develop not only academically, but also personally, preparing them with the confidence, resilience and ambition to flourish both in school and beyond.
