Woman savagely beaten by gang of men


The woman, 35, was walking on Fletcher Road close to the junction of Deepdale Mill Street when she was approached by a man.
He spoke to her, then grabbed the woman from behind and held her around the neck before three more men appeared.

Hide AdEach man took turns in kicking, punching and stamping on the victim, before running away from the scene.
The woman suffered a fractured arm, bruising to her face and body and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment after the attack, which happened at 9.20pm on April 29.
Det Con Darren Caunce, of Preston CID, said: “This was a particularly savage and brutal assault which left a 35-year-old woman badly injured.
“The victim received extensive bruising to her face and body, along with a severely fractured arm, wounds all consistent with being stamped, kicked and punched. This was a cowardly attack by the men involved and the severity of the attack is shocking.”

Hide AdThe first man is described as white amd slim, with hair swept across his head. He was believed to be wearing a black bomber jacket, black skinny jeans and black Vans trainers.
No description is available of the other three men.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would ask anyone with information to come forward. Det Con Caunce added: “We would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who recognises the description of the first attacker, as well as anyone who saw a group of men in the area around the time.”
