Woman taken to hospital after being found injured in Wigan

A woman was taken to hospital following an incident in Wigan

Officers were called to Darlington Street just after 11.15pm last night (April (9).

A woman was found with an arm injury and was taken to hospital.

She remains there with a minor injury.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and released without charge, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

Witnesses described seeing the area cordoned off.

The GMP spokesman said: "Officers were called just after 11.15pm last night (April 9) to a report of a woman injured on Darlington Street in Wigan.

"A woman was found with an arm injury and was taken to hospital where she remains with a minor injury.

"A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and released without charge."
