Here’s when you’ll be able to watch new Star Wars film The Rise of Skywalker on Disney+
The Rise of Skywalker is the dramatic final instalment of the Skywalker saga, but fans of the Star Wars movies might be upset to see it not included in the launch lineup from Disney+.
This is how you can watch The Rise of Skywalker online in the UK.
When will The Rise of Skywalker be available on UK Disney+?
As it stands, The Rise of the Skywalker is the only Star Wars movie not to be available upon the launch of Disney+ in the UK.
But the film was only released on 19 December last year, so while it is likely to end up on Disney’s new streaming service eventually, it probably won’t be for a few more months.
How much does Disney+ cost?
Disney+ is now available in the UK, and it allows you to stream from the massive library of Disney TV shows and movies, as well as the biggest films from Marvel, Pixar, and 29 seasons of The Simpsons.
You can sign up for a seven day free trial of the streaming service, but after that it will then cost £5.99 per month, or £59.99 per year.
You’ll be able to watch Disney+ in a variety of ways, including through Sky Q, NowTV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and more. You can check out the full list of supported devices on the Disney+ website here.
When will The Rise of Skywalker be released digitally?
If you don’t want to wait until the newest Star Wars film makes it on to Disney+, you can buy it digitally from Monday 13 April 2020.
The US had their digital release brought forward, but there has been no change in the UK schedule.
You can pre-order the film on Amazon in HD for £13.99 and the Sky Store for £13.99. Alternatively, the film will also be available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K from Monday 20 April.
