Revealed: the 'best and worst' train stations in the UK

Glasgow Queen Street has been named the worst train station in the country by a survey of passengers.
Transport Focus, an independent watchdog, quizzed 28,000 passengers at 56 UK stations on whether they were satisfied with their transport hub between September and November in 2017.

Hide AdJust 58% of passengers at Queen Street said they were satisfied with the station, compared to 91% at the nearby Central station.
The maligned railway station is currently undergoing a £100 million renovation, which likely accounts for its abysmal ranking.
Gatwick Airport, Oxford and Clapham Junction were also slated by passengers, with each station being awarded 66%, 67% and 69% respectively.
London's busiest station, Kings Cross was named the best train station in the UK, with 96% of passengers saying they were satisfied with the the newly renovated terminus.

Hide AdNeighbouring station St Pancras finished in second with a satisfaction rating of 95%, with Birmingham New Street and Reading finishing in third and fourth.
