Derby County confirm Wigan Athletic goalkeeper swoop


The 35-year-old Scotland international stopper enjoyed a hugely-successful season with Latics after joining last summer from Hull City.
He kept 15 clean sheets in 39 appearances - including a jaw-dropping run of 10 shut-outs in 11 matches during the run-in.

Hide AdBut given the club's perilous financial position - and relegation to League One - he was always likely to be off to pastures new - especially with the Euros on the horizon next summer.
“We’re really pleased to welcome David to Derby County," said Rams boss Phillip Cocu.
“David is an experienced goalkeeper and he has played at the highest level in both England and Scotland.
“He has also performed at international level for Scotland, and I believe David will be a positive addition to not only our goalkeeping department but also our squad.”
