Easter schedule excites Warnock
Good Friday’s trip to Swindon is followed by a home match against Rochdale three days later.
With just goal-difference splitting second-placed Latics with Gillingham, in third, the complexion at the top of League One may change over the next few days.
And recent-recruit Warnock said: “They’re the games you want to play in.
“I came to play games and they’re coming thick and fast now. I’m enjoying it immensely, getting in amongst it. I want to keep playing as many games as I can.”
A loan recruit from Derby, Ormskirk-born Warnock has been impressed with the quality in the Latics squad.
“They’re up there near the top for a reason, it’s not a fluke,” said. “They’re very hard working and honest. The manager sets standards and the lads follow it.
“The ambition of the club is one of the reasons I joined. It’s a very historical team in what they’ve done in the last 10, 20 years.”
