'˜Everyone's allowed to score', urges Joyce

Warren Joyce has called on his Wigan Athletic side to share out the goals and lessen the burden on the strikers.

Despite the 2-2 draw against Norwich in midweek, Latics remain the lowest scorers in the Championship with just 26 goals from their 29 matches played.

Omar Bogle marked his full debut with a brace, which incredibly makes him joint-second top-goalscorer behind Will Grigg (6), and Joyce says it’s time other players stepped up to the plate.

“I think we certainly created enough chances against Norwich to have won the game,” he said.

“You can’t just be relying on Grigg, and Omar, to score all the goals.

“We’ve got to be chipping in from all areas of the pitch – and that includes midfield and defence.

“If you’re looking at set-plays, you want your centre-backs smashing any scraps into the back of the net as well.

“I don’t think all the emphasis can go on just one player, or just the strikers.
