The on-loan Rotherham man has been rewarded for a series of solid performances at the heart of the Latics backline.

He's one of six new-boys born in England to get the call for an exhibition match against the USA next Thursday, March 25, in Austria.

It's also two days before Latics host Ipswich Town in a massive game at both ends of League One.

Tendayi Darikwa is also in the same boat as Tilt on that score.

The right-back has been named in the provisional Zimbabwe squad for their games against Botswana on March 25 and Zambia four days later.

Both have become integral parts of a backline that went five-and-a-half hours without conceding a goal, before Wimbledon's late equaliser in midweek.
