And the EFL were quick to issue a statement in the aftermath.
"The EFL is aware of a video of its chairman posted on social media on Thursday night that discusses recent developments at Wigan Athletic," said an EFL spokesman.
"It was part of a much wider and impromptu discussion he was having with a Wigan supporter he does not know but who lives in the same area.

Parry and the EFL have already been widely criticised for allowing the recent changes in ownership at Wigan that has seen the club's very existence put in serious jeopardy.
